The trophy for the “Super Bowl” champion is called the Vince Lampardi Cup, one of the most famous and prominent coaches in American football history, born in Washington and died in 1970 at the age of 57 and named the best coach in the 1959 and 1961 seasons. He was named the first two versions of the Super Bowl Grand Clash in 1968-1967.

8. The final with the largest audience was the seventeenth in the history of the annual Grand Clash, attended by a full-time 103,667, held on 30 January 1983 and ended with the Washington Redskins’ victory over the Miami Dolphins (17-27).
