Byron Young, Jordan flight day to day before Alabama Crimson Tide game with Arkansas Razorbacks

Byron Young, Jordan flight day to day before Alabama Crimson Tide game with Arkansas Razorbacks; A pair of key players in Alabama’s defense are considered day to day as they deal with injuries ahead of Saturday’s game at No. 20 Arkansas.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban told reporters defensive end Byron Young and battle safety Jordan were able to practice “some” earlier Wednesday.

“I hope they’re ready for the game,” Saban said.

But Saban warned of the difficulty of measuring players’ injuries.

Young injured his ankle and fought his leg during Saturday’s win over Vanderbilt.

“It’s always their feeling the next day,” Saban said. “So we’ll see how it goes tomorrow.”

Alabama, unbeaten and second in both surveys, leads all SEC defenses in allowable yards (805) and points per game (7.25)

Battle has 14 total handles this season. Young has 0.5 sacks, a quarterback in a rush, and two tackles for loss.

Arkansas, led by quarterback KJ Jefferson and running back Raheim Sanders, ranks second in the SEC with 243.8 rushing yards per game.
