Canadian swimmer Mary Harvey revealed she was drugged and assaulted

Canadian swimmer Mary Sophie Harvey revealed she was drugged and assaulted on the final night of the World Swimming Championships.

Harvey recounted what happened to her on her Instagram account posted by Daily Mail where she confirmed that she had been drugged on the final night of the World Swimming Championships and had suffered rib bruises and concussion.

She added that she woke up completely confused with the team’s director and doctor on her side without recalling what had happened between four and six hours during the incident.

The 22-year-old swimmer discovered numerous bruises on her body after returning to her home country the following day, and said that she felt that she should share her experience as these facts were happening a lot.

“I still feel scared thinking about the unknown from that night. Somehow, I’m ashamed of what happened… But I will not let this incident identify me. ”

Harvey was reportedly awarded a four-in-200-metre relay bronze at the tournament that concluded last June 25.
