Carreno Busta beats Hurkacz and wins the Canadian tennis tournament title; Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreno Busta won the title of the Canadian tennis tournament after outplaying Polish rival Hubert Hurkacz in the final match of the tournament, and the Spaniard needed to win by two sets against one set.

The Polish player advanced by winning the first set by six runs to three runs for the Spaniard before the Spaniard returned and sealed the remaining two sets by six runs to three runs in two straight sets, thus failing to capitalize on his advantage in the first set.
