FC Barcelona have announced the transfer of Frank Casey officially, in a free transfer, with the summer transfer window, from AC Milan.

Casey was at FC Barcelona on Tuesday morning to join the training and present it to the Catalan public.

He added: ‘My ideal is Yaya Toure, he is a great player from Ivory Coast, like me, it was a pleasure to play with him in the national team.’

He continued: ‘When a great coach like Xavi calls you, who has had a great time as a player, he’s ready to be a great coach.’

‘When someone like him calls you, you’ll see that all your efforts have paid off, as I said before, I can’t wait to start working with him and my teammates.

‘From my position, the coach will decide my position on the field, he knows very well where I can help the team better,’ Casey said.
