Djokovic is Wimbledon champion for the fourth time in a row

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic was crowned third Wimbledon Grand Slam champion for the fourth time in a row after Sunday’s three-set-for-one victory over Australia’s Nick Kyrgios in the tournament final.

The first set ended with Kyrgios excelling by six runs to four and Djokovic coming back strongly, winning the second by six runs to three, and the third by six runs to four, before the world number three Serb seeded the match and the title in his favor by winning his third set and fourth by seven runs to six (7-3).

The title is Djokovic’s 21st Grand Slam title and his seventh at Wimbledon, as he was ranked first in the grass-court tournament for the fourth time in a row after years (2018 -2019 – 2021). The 2020 version was not made due to the Covid- 19 pandemic.
