Halep steps up to Wimbledon semi-finals

Romania’s Simona Halep, the former world number one and 18 bettors, reached the Wimbledon semi-finals, the third Grand Slam, beating American Amanda Anisimova (25) 6-2 6-4, three years after she was crowned on English turf.

At the age of 30, Halep is looking for her third Grand Slam, crowned in the 2018 Roland Garro’s dirt, and meets last box Kazakh Elena Rybakina (23), winner of the Australian Ayla Tomljanovic (44) 4-6 6-2 6-3, who reached the semi-final of her first career Grand Slam.

Halep said, “It’s nice to be back in the semifinals. I’m so impressed.”

“I played against a very strong adductor today, she was able to send rocket balls at the end,” she continued.

“I had to stay firm on my feet, which helped me today. I also needed my dispatches. It went well and the confrontation ended well. ”

For its part, Rybakina commented after qualifying for the semifinals “It is unreasonable. I’m glad I reached the semifinals after a tough game. ”

“I started with a slow pattern, and my dispatches were not good at first. Maybe because I was a little nervous. ”

“I played well, especially in defense, but I did my best to focus on sending me in an attempt to find a loophole, and I found it.”
