Russian Comment on Calling for Additional Sports Penalties

The Deputy State Duma of Russia (MPs) Andrey Lugovoy held that the call of Polish Sports Minister Camille Portnichok to impose further sanctions on Russia and Belarus, should not be taken seriously.

In press statements, Lugovoy said: “I am aware of who is the speaker of such initiatives, not the representatives of the United States of America, Britain, Germany or France, as in all other matters, during the period of the conflict with Ukraine, someone was given the floor, to a son of a shelter, or a hyena of Europe, as Churchill described them, which underscores the frivolity of such statements.”
