Strong Clash For Nadal in the first Herlingham Tournament Innings
Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal, in his first match of the prep friendly Herlingham Championship tennis, faces Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka on Wednesday.
Another Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz, takes part for the first time in Herlingham, making his first match on Thursday against and yet-to-be confirmed contender.
On Monday, reigning champion Roland Garros arrived in London and trained inside Wimbledon stadiums, which he will repeat tomorrow before Wednesday’s clash with Wawrinka, who he has won in 19 of the 22 matches he has compiled.
It will be the first time the Spaniard has participated in the Herlingham Championship since his 2019 appearance, after which he reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
Nadal faces Félix Auger Aliassime of Canada at the same tournament, as he prepares for Wimbledon.
For his part, Alcaraz will play Thursday against an opponent who has yet to be confirmed, while Novak Djokovic faces Canadian Aliassime Wednesday, as well as Friday against an opponent who has yet to be confirmed.
