The German María First Wimbledon Semi-Finalists

Germany’s Tatyana Maria became the first Wimbledon tennis semi-finalist to beat compatriot Julie Niemeyer by two sets on Tuesday.

Niemeyer had settled the first set for her 6-4 interest, but Maria managed to overturn the result by winning the second set 6-2, and then finished the third set 7-5 to advance to the semi-finals at Wimbledon for the first time in her career.
