Tunisia’s Anas Jaber continues to write history and qualifies for  Wimbledon final

Tunisia’s Anas Jabeur continued to write history at the third Wimbledon Grand Slam with a batted ball, rising to the final.

Anas Jabeur continued to impress in the tournament, surpassing Germany’s Tatyana Maria by two sets of 6-2, 3-6, and 6-1 on Thursday.

This is the first time that Anas Jaber has qualified for the final of one of the four major tournaments, proving her remarkable development this year, thus placing her second in the Professional Player Rankings.

Jabeur, 27, settled the first set 6-2 in about 39 minutes before losing the second set 6-3.

Anas Jabeur entered the third set with great power and led by five runs without reply, breaking Maria’s serve in the second and fourth halves before finishing the set 6-1.

Jabeur will meet in the final, the winner of the Romanian match Simona Halep and Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina.
