The first decisive decision of Galtier after his training in Paris: ‘Neymar won’t leave’

sports fan: Christophe Galtier, the new manager of Paris Saint-Germain, made his first decision to keep Brazilian star Neymar Junior da Silva and not leave the team during the current summer transfers.

Paris Saint-Germain management had earlier informed Neymar of the need to leave during the ongoing summer transfers and look for a new team starting next season.

Neymar is out of PSG’s plans next season, with Luis Campos taking over as the Parisian team’s sporting director.

Neymar renewed his contract last season with Paris Saint-Germain until the summer of 2025, where he receives an annual salary that exceeds the €35 million-a-year barrier.

Last season, Neymar was subjected to a whistle of disdain from Paris Saint-Germain fans during the match against Bordeaux, in the 28th round of the French League.

What did Galtier say about Neymar’s future with Paris Saint-Germain?

‘Neymar is one of the best players in the world, who coach doesn’t want him?, I have a very clear idea of what I expect from him, and of course I want him to stay,’ Galtier said in an interview with Paris Saint-Germain.

He added: ‘I will see Neymar and I will talk to him, I want to see his expectations, I want him to stay and it is good to have a player of his value in the team.’

‘It will be ambition, rigour and improved team capabilities that I will follow as soon as I get here,’ Galtier said.

Paris Saint-Germain officially announced on Tuesday evening the formal contract with Christophe Galtier to coach the team to succeed Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, who is in return from his post.
