Djokovic to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, the world’s third, qualified for the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, the third of the four major tennis championships, following his victory over the Netherlands’ Tim van Rethoven on Sunday.

The Serb’s confrontation against the Dutchman was decided by 6-2, 4.6, 6.1 and 6.2 within two hours and 39 minutes.

Djokovic will meet in the quarter-finals of Italy’s Jannik Sinner, world 13, and Spain’s Carlos Alcarath, world seventh, in 6-1, 6.4, 6.7 (8-10) and 6.3.
