Choosing Tokyo to host World Athletics Championships 2025

The IAAF World Council announced the selection of Japan’s capital Tokyo to host the 20th World Championships in 2025.

The International Federation stated in an official statement that the opportunity would be favorable for Japan’s capital Tokyo in 2025 to host Olympic athletics-loving fans who were denied the opportunity to attend the Tokyo Olympics after restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic and Tokyo outperformed the cities of Singapore, Nairobi, and Celis.
